The western A became an 11 team division this season as Anaconda, Belgrade, Libby, and Columbia Falls were added to the conference.
Michelle Summers became the first Maiden to connect on a 3-point goal when she converted near the end of Ronan’s 41-39 loss to Polson in Polson.
Janelle Azure scored the lone point for St. Ignatius in an opening season loss to Ronan when she sank a second quarter free throw. The Lady Bulldogs were 1-9 from the charity stripe for the game.
Ginger Voth’s 25 point night against Superior in the Maidens’ second game of the season was the single game high point effort of the season for Ronan.
Mark Clary and Dan Saloman began live broadcasts on KQ-92 radio of selected Maiden games this season. The pair continued to be the “Voices of the Maidens” through the 1996 season.

The Montana High School Association created three Class A leagues for this season: Western, Central, and Eastern, and also instituted a “regionalized” scheduling plan which was intended to reduce travel for teams throughout the state.
The three overtime contest with Whitefish during the regular season in Ronan was not decided until Heidi Zentner converted both ends of a bonus free throw opportunity with 22 seconds left in the last extra period to give the Maidens’ their final margin of victory.
Ginger Voth’s three-point buzzer-beater against Columbia Falls at home gave Ronan their first win over the Kats in 10 years. Voth finished the contest with 23 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals.
Stevensville was ranked #3 in the state going into the divisional tournament and was led by two future Montana Lady Griz players, Kristin Omlid and Kristy Langton.
Voth led the Maidens in single game scoring for the season with 29 points against Corvallis.
